Cairo – An Interview with Issam El-Amir, president of Egypt’s public television – Ertu, was published in the COPEAM (Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean) newsletter. El-Amir says that the co-productions of documentaries made by COPEAM and ASBU (the Arab States Broadcasting Union), represent an enrichment for the programming of Egyptian television and enhance the skills of those working on them. Issam El-Amir also proposes a series of recommendation to develop television program exchanges in the Mediterranean, stating that ERTU “has already made available to Copeam members programs on topical issues in Egypt, such as documentaries on the design of the new Channel Suez.” (9colonne)
