New York – 14 million children have been affected by the war in Syria and Iraq, confirms UNICEF data. The news was repeated by the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni during yesterday’s speech at the UN Security Council in New York, on children in armed conflicts. The Italian funds for UNICEF projects in 2014, destined to Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan, amounted to €2 million. During his US visit, the Minister also met with the Italian community in New York.
