16 July 2015 – Enel Green Power, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America Inc., has completed and connected to the grid the new wind farm in Osage, in the county by the same name in Oklahoma. The new park, owned by Osage Wind LLC and 50% owned by EGP-NA, has a total installed capacity of 150 MW and is able to generate more than 620 GWh per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 53,000 US households, while avoiding the emission of about 300,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. “The entry into operation of the Osage Wind farm – says a statement released by the Italian company – further confirms Enel Green Power’s commitment to its continued growth in the U.S. renewable market, particularly in Oklahoma where EGP-NA already operates the 235 MW Chisholm View wind farm, the 150 MW Rocky Ridge wind farm and the 150 MW Origin wind farm.” The company has another two wind projects currently under construction in Oklahoma, for a total additional capacity of 274 MW. The two projects are expected to become operational by the end of 2015. (Red)
