Tunis – “Our relations with Tunisia began years before the Jasmine Revolution, and Tuscany has funded cooperation projects in the last three years worth €1.4 million. It was a good call, the results are already showing, and it’s time to cancel Tunisia’s debt to Italy by making sure the local government will invest in expanding these cooperation projects the saved amounts.” Requested the President of the Tuscany Region, Enrico Rossi, on Friday afternoon to the Italian Ambassador in Tunis Raimondo De Cardona, with whom he met on his arrival in the capital. A delay in the flight forced to cancel the planned confrontation with NGOs and local youth organizations, but before leaving for the region of Kasserine, Rossi had the time to meet with the Ambassador to discuss about safety, ISIS, development cooperation, and migration flows.
