Erbil – The Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, following the proposal of President Debora Serracchiani, authorized the International Relations Department to participate, as project leader, in two development cooperation initiatives with a grant of €70,000. The two projects, taking place in Tunisia and Iraqi Kurdistan, both with a maturity of 12 months, and the first under the Region’s direction, want to encourage the process of internationalization, local development, institution building and democratization, protection of cultural heritage and the environment. The intervention in Iraq provides for the direct involvement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, while in Tunisia it is carried out in close coordination with the Alda network, promoted by the Council of Europe.
