Tehran – To facilitate the development of future economic and trade relations between Italy and Iran, there is now a Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Sace and Mediobanca with the Iranian Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Central Bank. The Parties have committed to establishing a cooperation to assess short- and long-term mutual interest in those industrial sectors of Italian excellence that are also functional to the economic development of Iran. The Parties also committed to identifying local financial institutions that can benefit from credit lines provided by Mediobanca, with Sace’s guarantee as well as that of the Iranian Ministry of Economy and Finance, to support the financing and payment of export and investment transactions.
