August 26, 2015 – Deputy Andrea Pendibene, skipper of Pegaso883, will take part in Minitransat 2015, the race reserved for the best 84 skippers in the world selected after two years of international regattas among those who make up the Mini 650 ranking. The press conference of the regatta will be held on Saturday at 10:30am aboard the brigantine sailing ship moored at Pier Mirabello in La Spezia on the occasion of the Maritime Festival. There will be no modern technology to help Andrea Pendibene, who will trace the route of the two parts of the race with the sextant and nautical charts produced by the Hydrographic Institute of the Italian Navy. The start of the first part, from Douarnenez (France) to Lanzarote (Canary Islands), is scheduled for September 19; the second part, from Lanzarote to Ile de Guadalupe (French Antilles), will take place on October 31.
