Salzburg – The meeting with Maestro Riccardo Muti is at the Salzburg Festival, in the city of Mozart. Muti will direct – tomorrow and Saturday – Ernani by Giuseppe Verdi with the ‘Luigi Cherubini’, the only Italian orchestra invited to the Austrian festival. This year’s edition marks the forty-fifth year of continued collaboration between Muti and the prestigious festival, where he was invited for first time by Karajan in 1971.
