Pangyo – The first South Korean Eataly store has opened in Pangyo, satellite city of Seoul, on August 21 in the Hyundai Department Store, the largest mall in the country. The Eataly store boasts an Italian style and design, and covers an area of 2.000 square meters, of which one third is dedicated to the sale of products. The store features thematic corners dedicated to Ferrero, Caffè Vergnano, and Cioccolato Venchi while the remaining area is occupied by six restaurants offering different dishes from Italy’s culinary tradition. There are four hundred labels of wine represented, about half of which are being introduced to the Korean market for the first time. (9Colonne)
