Vienna – It’s an important international recognition for the Florence International Mediation Chamber (FIMC), a mediation service of the highest international quality standards for citizens and companies, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Florence. A few weeks after its establishment, with the signatures of Singapore and New York, the UN Commission for International Trade (UNCITRAL) has recognized the status of observer, as non-governmental organization, to FIMC for the Working Group II, a table dedicated specifically to mediation. The status of observer allows FIMC to intervene, comment and make proposals. To the summit that opened yesterday at the UN Vienna International Centre and will close on September 11, FIMC is bringing a contribution to make immediately enforceable the agreements resulting from international mediation. The proposal takes its cue from the experience gained by the Chamber of Commerce of Florence in the field of national mediation and by the Italian legislation, which since 2010 provides for the enforceability of agreements reached in mediation.
