September 17th, 2015 –The industry giant IFF is ready to present its strategic plan to get Italian fashion companies into China: by selling high to medium quality products, simplifying sales operations and reducing to zero the risks for Italian companies. The proposal will be presented to the press and interested companies in Milan on 6-7 October, in the RDS Meeting Room, via Mascheroni 15. There will be Linda Tong, president of IFF, a pan-Asian company based in Shanghai with extensive experience in the fashion retail and wholesale markets in China (www.iff-eu.com). The IFF Fashion Center project will make sure that Italia fashion products be showcased in 8 new Fashion Centers located in the most famous shopping streets of the cities of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Changsha, Hangzhou, Beijing, Wuhan, Shengyang and Xiamen (with the first scheduled opening in September 2016 in Shanghai). The Fashion Centers will host 300 Chinese distributors, selected by IFF, who will sell both retail and wholesale Italian products, as is common in China. On top of direct sales centers, the IFF will also function as a central online, by means of a platform for e-commerce. The second phase of the project involves nationwide investments. The IFF intends to select approximately 200 Italian clothing and accessories companies, so as to sell their products for the autumn / winter 2016/2017 period. The first meetings will take place 6-7 October in Milan.
