September 25th, 2015 – This year, the International Book Fair in Seoul, scheduled for October 7-11, features Italy as country-guest of honor. And on October 8 Marco D ‘Eramo will take part in a meeting entitled “Urbanicidio a fin di bene. Come si uccidono le città d’arte.” Sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul, the conference will be held at Coex Event Hall. Journalist and writer, D’Eramo published a research in the July / August 2014 of Domus in which he highlights the other side of the “World Heritage” label, which can kill a city by “embalming its works of art.” “We are terrified by the prospect of our country becoming one vast museum, in which everywhere we walk we have to pay an entrance fee, looking desperately for a way out,” writes the journalist.
