New York – On Friday, September 25, the Italian Academy of Columbia University hosted a conference on food security, globalization and sustainability with the Italian Minister of Agriculture Maurizio Martina and Livia Pomodoro (President of the Milan Center for Food Law and Policy). The minister stressed “that nutrition education is a component of civic education and this is why it should be introduced in academic curricula since pre-school.” Finally, the Minister recalled that he had already been a guest in New York’s Democratic Party and received the exhortation of the association to keep the party together along the path to reforms.
