November 17th, 2015 – Playing and constantly invent, guided by the desire to entertain and have fun with music: Stefano Bollani is unpredictable and eclectic, but somehow his jazz magic makes the piano captivating for his audience. Today, after having performed on the most prestigious stages of the world (from Umbria Jazz to the Festival of Montreal, the New York Town Hall, La Fenice in Venice to the Scala of Milan), is ready to perform for the first time to the Paraguayan public on Wednesday 18 November at 8:30pm at the Teatro Municipal Ignacio A. Pane in Asunción. The event, by the Italian Embassy in Paraguay, is part of the Year of Italy in Latin America. “Bollani – says the embassy – will perform in Asunción, bringing his “Stefano Bollani- Piano Solo” tour and all his entertaining and stylish magic, arrangements and improvisations.” Bollani debuted professionally at the age of 15 and has since devoted himself entirely to music. His career includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in the international jazz world: Pat Metheny, Michel Portal, Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano, Phil Woods, and trumpeter Enrico Rava, with whom he has worked since 1996.
