Brussels – The green jobs offer in Italy is growing, thanks to the more than 372,000 companies that chose to focus on environmental sustainability. Notwithstanding this “lively” labor market, especially in the field of renewable energy, the OECD launched a cry of alarm for Italy on the education front, and invited to work more in the field of environmental education. Today, to encourage young people to approach these issues and learn about the opportunities offered by the green economy through direct experience in a company, there is Extrares (Exchange and Training in Renewable Energy Sector). The transnational mobility project provides 105 Italian high school and professional school students (aged between 18 and 21) with a 2-month internship in green economy enterprises in Belgium, Greece, Malta, Portugal, United Kingdom and Spain.
