November 24th, 2015 – Sardinia’s sea and mountains, culture and art, gastronomy and crafts… The very best of the Italian island is on its way to Warsaw, as the Region continues to promote itself abroad. Twenty companies will take part in the 23rd edition of Tour & Travel. The International Tourism Exchange Fair, one of the most important fairs in the industry for the Central and Eastern Europe markets, is scheduled in Warsaw from Thursday to Saturday. The event will be preceded, tomorrow, by an event entirely dedicated to the promotion of Sardinia, organized by the Regional Department of Tourism, which will take place at the Akademia Kulinarna in Warsaw, with film screenings, interventions, and wine tastings. “We want to position ourselves in a market that in 2015 generated significant numbers, for an increase in arrivals and stays – said the Councilor Francesco Morandi – the various segments of our offer are a perfect match for Polish demand, where Italy has long been perceived as a tourist destination thanks to its style, art, wine and food tours and religious pilgrimages. New tourism trends in Eastern European countries – concludes Morandi – relate to outdoor sports, spas and visits to protected areas, which is absolutely in tune with Sardinia’s offer”. (Red)
