Maputo – The Italian Cooperation, in partnership with the Centre for Coordination of Gender Issues (Cecage) of Eduardo Mondlane University will organize on December 7-8 in Maputo the “International Conference on Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women”. The conference is part of the Programme for the Socio-economic Empowerment of Women, and will focus on the theme “Women Entrepreneurs and Access to Credit.” The goal is to establish an innovative agenda to increase women’s access to credit, resources and financial services to improve the socioeconomic situation of women entrepreneurs in Mozambique, developing their employment opportunities to boost economic development and the promotion of gender equality.
