Mexico City – Eni signed with the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos Mexico (CNH) a “Production Sharing Contract” for the development of the oil fields of Amoca, Miztón and Tecoalli, located in the Bay of Campeche, offshore Mexico. On September 30, following an international tender, Eni was awarded 100% of the share rights for the development and exploitation of the three fields, located within Area 1. The deposits are located in conventional waters at a depth of 20-40 meters and a short distance from the coast, in operating environments on which Eni has a proven track record and operates worldwide with high efficiency and low operating costs. CNH estimates oil volumes amount to approximately 800 million barrels of oil and 13 billion cubic meters of associated gas. Eni will now proceed in the delimitation campaign for the deposits by drilling four new wells, with the objective of defining a synergistic and fast track development plan. (9Colonne)
