Mexico City – Drillmec, part of the Trevi Group, has been awarded the supply of two onshore drilling rigs of 3,000 HP each from Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the Mexican State company operating in oil exploration and extraction. These newly developed rigs will be manufactured and tested in the USA at the Drillmec manufacturing plant in Houston, and later transferred and installed in Mexico. The rigs will mainly be utilized for the extraction of shale gas in Mexico in order to develop one of the most important recoverable reserves in the world. (9colonne)
