Brussels – The alumni group members of the Foundation Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition (BCFN) presented today to European institutions the Youth Manifesto, discussing with them ways to solve practical problems of the world food system. 100 young leaders from over 20 countries took part in the European Parliament in the political discussions held by MEPs Paolo de Castro and Simona Bonafè, Trabella Marc and Julie Girling and with civil society organizations, Humane Society International, Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena and the European Council of Young Farmers (CEGA). “The Manifesto calls for a great commitment and urges everyone to take responsibility for restoring the balance in the relationship between planet, people and food – said MEP Simon Bonafè – Everyone must do their part to bring about change in the whole system. Farsighted regulations, a pragmatic political vision and a great cultural change are the basic elements to meet this challenge.” (9Colonne)
