December 10th, 2015 – Two five-star hotels, serviced apartments, a shopping center with 400 different shops and an amphitheater for events and shows, for a total of 800.000 square meters of luxury. This is Place Vendome, a new project currently being built in Lusail by Qatar’s United Developers, which has invested $1.25 billion in the project. For major Italian luxury brand this is a great opportunity to show off their products in a new center, which will open in 2017. United Developers is thus activating collaborations with leading brands in Europe to promote their retail market in Qatar. “The European brands, and in particular the Italian luxury brands are highly valued by Qatari and Arab customers, who increasingly turn their attention to high quality products – said Sean Kelly, project director of Place Vendôme – Made in Italy is considered much more than a mere labeling for a brand: it’s a synonym for recognized luxury and craftsmanship.” United Developers presented Place Vendome in a road show that touched Milan, Paris, Cannes and Dubai and also worked at the beginning of the year with Condé Nast International for the organization of the first international conference on luxury, held in Florence last April.
