December 11th, 2015 – Manifatture Sigaro Toscano was praised for branching out into the United States by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. The Italian company received an award in Milan during the annual Transatlantic Award Gala Dinner. The award was presented yesterday during a ceremony attended by the US Ambassador John Phillips and other American and Italian authorities. Gaetano Maccaferri, vice president of Manifatture Sigaro Toscano and President of the Maccaferri Industrial Group, commented: “this acquisition was a key step in our expansion policy, and this award is important to us to highlight the work we are doing: Toscano cigars are the symbol of a successful Italy, that knows how to impose itself and export its excellence, to enhance more and more the reputation of Made in Italy worldwide. After bringing back to Italy the Manifatture Sigaro Toscano in 2006, this acquisition lays the foundation for the dissemination Toscano cigar in the US. A process that will see us combine our traditional values with those of innovation.” Last September, Manifatture Sigaro Toscano bought Parodi Holdings, a move that helped consolidate the company’s presence abroad (14% of total production), with production levels that will reach 200 million cigars in a year.
