Moscow – 24-27 December, Moscow hosted Woodex 2015 at the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre, the main international event of the Russian timber industry technologies, during which Italy was present with a “National Italian Pavilion.” Organized by the Acimall Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Accessories for Woodworking and the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian group brought together 37 companies on an area of over 1,200 square meters in Hall 1. Analyzing the trend in imports of machinery for wood processing in the Russian Federation, in 2014 Italy was the third main supplier. What gave greater prominence to the “Italian National Pavilion” was the series of measures aimed at information and communication, such as an update of the Russian market report for woodworking machines, advertising in specialized trade magazines, a pre-catalog of the Italian Pavilion sent to 2,000 Russian operators in the sector, and 500 physical copies of catalog at the Italian National Pavilion. For the duration of the event, the Service Centre ITA-ACIMALL also remained opened, where companies could receive the help of ITA trade analysts living in Moscow, information and first orientation and other services.
