Tehran – “We are ready in our representative role for Italy and Friuli Venezia Giulia to strengthen our economic, scientific-technological and cultural relations,” confirms from Tehran the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Debora Serracchiani. The president inaugurated the event “Contract Made in Italy”, alongside the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hossein Esfahbodi, the Italian Ambassador to Tehran Mauro Conciatori, and the CEO of Pordenone Fiere, Pietro Piccinetti. Contract Made in Italy is a showcase of Italian products, especially wood and furniture, from the Triveneto. “This is a show that we want to see grow – said Serracchiani – investing in new economic and trade relations also thinking about signing specific agreements with Iran.” Ambassador Conciatori noted how these are crucial steps as the world awaits the lifting of economic sanctions on Iran (the so-called “implementation day” expected in a couple of days). But Friuli Venezia Giulia offers more than just economic partnerships and new directions for Iranian businesses, as the Region wants to share scientific talents and expertise in a program of exchange and technology transfers.
