(12 January 2016) The Italian Cultural Institute in Santiago and the Italian Embassy of Chile are participating in the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of Cultural Center La Moneda in the Chilean capital. The two institutions will be sponsoring an exhibition featuring one of the most important works by Sandro Botticelli, The Madonna with Child and six Angels. The exhibition, completely free of charge, will take place from 14 January to 13 March. In the work, Botticelli demonstrates his skill in the precision of the movement of the angels and the naturalness expressed in the posture of the Virgin Mary. These testify to the perfection of Botticelli’s artistic language, that will be a source of inspiration not only for other Renaissance artists, but also for many others during the entire course of the history of painting. The display of the Madonna with Child and six Angels will be the centerpiece of the celebrations for the important Chilean cultural center. (Red)
