(14 January 2016) “Zorba the Greek” returns to Buenos Aires, as produced by the Teatro San Carlo of Naples. Thanks to the extraordinary success of the first edition of the music festival in Plaza Vatican, the Theater will animate the square once again. The appointment with the choral ballet in two acts and twenty-two paintings, created by Lorca Massine in 1988 and inspired by the famous novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, is set for Thursday, February 11 at 8pm. The event is organized by Asociación Civil Cultural Centro Histórico Colon Theater and the Teatro San Carlo. “The ballet – reads a presentation statement of the Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires – is a story of friendship between Basil the English and Zorba the Greek, a modern Dionysius who lives in the moment, canceling the past and ignoring the future.” (Red)
