(18 January 2016) Fortunato Depero’s timeless modernity (1892-1960) makes him one of the great names of the Italian Futurist movement and precursor of Pop Art. His talent has now reached Brazil thanks to the exhibition “Depero, the futurist and global artist.” The display brings together for the first time in Sao Paulo 65 graphic works by the artist thanks to the Italian Cultural Institute of the city. The show, curated by Maurizio Scudiero and open from 30 January to 27 March, is on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art – Mac USP of Sao Paulo. “This is the ideal context for its display – explains the website of the Italian Cultural Institute – because of the dialogue that stems with the already-present rich collection of Italian contemporary art in this museum. ” (Sip)
