New Dehli – Logistics and infrastructure, research and innovation, culture, but also wood and furniture, metalworking… These are the sectors in which Friuli Venezia Giulia could start and develop important relationships with India, a country whose strong economic growth currently looks abroad to attract investment and acquire entrepreneurial skills to manage their own ports and logistics system. The President of Friuli Venezia Giulia Debora Serracchiani and the secretary general of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce Claudio Maffioletti spoke of potential synergies to be developed. “There’s certainly a communality of interests to explore and develop in some sectors that are exceptionally significant to us,” stated Serracchiani, referring in particular to logistics and infrastructure with regard to the port of Trieste and the regional port system.
