(11 March 2016) The bridge between the University of Parma and the Far East is stronger than ever these days, partly thanks to the delegation of 4 Professors and Executives and 16 Japanese and Chinese students who came to Parma to attend the Spring School of the University. The presence of the delegation and its participation in the Spring School is part of the BRICS & N11 project, aimed at promoting the quality of the university system by enhancing its international research and training dimension in collaboration with universities from other countries. The connection with Chinese and Japanese universities is of strategic importance for the University of Parma, because it is the principal element that constitutes the “bridge” with the Far East, and because the program of seminars organized by the Italian university also involves local businesses (mainly cooperatives), an initiative that will be repeated during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years. This is a further step on the path towards internationalization and integration with prestigious institutions, on a road already full of significant milestones. One above all is the agreement that currently allows three Parma students to follow the “Master Sesami – Strategic Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Alliance Management Initiatives” at the University of Kobe.
