(16 March 2016) Following the success of the Italian and European gigs, on April 20 Bratislava opens its heart to the concert tribute dedicated to the musical talent that was Fabrizio De André. ”Faber forever” goes on stage at the Auditorium of the National Slovak Radio (at 7.30pm), thanks to the collaboration of the local Italian Cultural Institute. A tribute band starring Pier Michelatti (bass player who performed alongside De André for over 18 years, accompanying him in five tours and in the recording studio for several albums) will perform the greatest hits of the Italian singer-songwriter. “We want – says Michelatti – to avoid that Fabrizio’s work is forgotten. Even though his is a household name in our country, I think that his music isn’t played enough. And we would like to humbly prevent that from happening. To lose the treasure given to us by such a person and artist would be unforgivable.! In Bratislava Pierluigi Michelatti will perform alongside Alessandro Cristilli – drums and percussion; Paolo Guercio – piano, keyboard, and accordion; Ivan Appino – vocals and guitar; Anais Dragon – violin; Maurizio Verna – guitars and bouzouki; and Giorgia Bovolenta – voice.
