18 April 2016. Renzo Rubino’s European tour will stop in Germany on 22 April. The singer-songwriter from Puglia will perform at the Italian Cultural Institute in this German city, within an event supported by the Puglia regional government for its Puglia Sounds Export 2016 programme. Other stops on the tour include Berlin (where Rubino played on 17 April), London (19 April), Brussels (20 April) and Paris (21 April). The tour will conclude back in Germany, on 23 April in Frankfurt. Renzo Rubino was born in Martina Franca (Taranto) on 18 March 1988: at 21, he met his current artistic producer, Andrea Rodini, who said of Rubino: “In recent years, I’ve listened to more than 4,000 young people. I never found a 21-year-old artist who has the talent and originality of Renzo Rubino.” In 2011, with Rodini and Alioscia Pericoli acting as artistic and executive producers respectively, he released his first studio album, a 7-track collection (of which 6 original and 1 cover) entitled “Farfavole”. In 2012, he participated in the Area Sanremo contest, which he won. This led him to participate in the Sanremo Festival in 2013, in the Youth category, with the track ““Il postino (Amami Uomo)”, for which he won the critics’ “Mia Martini” prize. Historically, this prize has been associated with high-quality artistic production. On 14 February 2013, he released his second album “Poppins” (Atlantic/Warner). He then participated in 2014’s Sanremo Festival in the Big category, with tracks “Ora” and “Per sempre e poi basta,” placing third. “Secondo Rubino” (release in 2014) is his third album. (Red)
