Santiago. The Italian Trade Agency is organising an Italian collective participation at the 2016 International Expomin exhibition which will be taking place at the Espacio Riesco exhibition centre in Santiago, Chile today until April 29th. Chile is characterised by the stability of its political, institutional and economic development and for it’s opening to the international markets. The mining sector has contributed to 18.8% to the Chile’s GDP, representing the primary economic activity of the country. The Expomin represents the second important event in the world’s mining sector, second only to the appointment of Las Vegas with the CONEXPO- Con/Agg. There are great opportunities to contribute with innovative new technologies to reduce production costs, together with the improvement productivity and competitiveness, and to an even greater degree, of efficiency and safety for workers and for the environment.
