The big waves and their energy, rising to the sky, nature coming to life, invigorated by the rivers are the themes that inspire the works of Loris Libertaori, native of La Spezia, living in Rome for more than thirty years where he is director of the École d’Art Martenot. The works will be the centrepiece at the “The Water of Life” exhibition in Sydney, opening on 5th May at the Italian Cultural Institute by Pier Francesco Zazo, Italian Ambassador to Canberra with Consul General of Italy to Sydney, Arturo Arcano. On display until 16th June, there will be new never seen before works of art created specifically for the Italian Cultural Institute, celebrating the artist’s first exhibition in Australia. The artist composes a hymn to water, being an irreplaceable source of life, energy and natural wealth. The artist has mastered the fine technique, with strong and soft colours, he transforms real landscapes into landscapes of the soul. Liberatori is one of the artists represented in the Farnesina Collection; some of his works are exhibited permanently at the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Canberra.
