(23 May 2016) It has been called the “most dangerous road in the world” and it is precisely for this reason that the Roman driver Fabio Barone, president of Ferrari Red Passion Club, chose it to attempt a world record speed. The challenge of the Tianmen Mountain Road in China (mountain located in Zhangjiajie National Park in north-western Hunan), was presented recently in the pavilions of Fiera Roma, at Supercar, the unconventional auto show. Barone and his tireless Ferrari 458 Italy tuned by Capristo and Leo Motors will attempt to storm, a never attempted before, world record speed with his team by completing the ninety-nine laps in the shortest time possible. In China, therefore, Barone and his team will officially represent Italy in a new business. The initiative has also received, in fact, sponsorship from the Italian Consulate General in Canton. Only last year, Barone had his name in the Guinness World Book of Records, covering in a distance of 13 km on Transfagarasan (Romanian national road) what the TV show “Top Gear” defined as the most beautiful avenue in the world, in 9 minutes and 13 seconds. “The motivation is to write another page in Guinness World Record”, announced the Italian driver, president of the most important partnership of Ferrari customers: the ‘Passione Rossa’ club (Red Passion club).
