(26 May 2016) The three days of meetings at institutional level starting today that will see the Friuli Venezia Giulia region as the leading actor in a series of events dedicated to the plight of the Yazidi community, a minority of Iraqi Kurdistan, who are persectuted by the Islamic extremism of Isis. A delegation led by the deputy of the Iraqi Federal Parliament Vian Dakhil Saeed, will be received by a representative of the Italian Government. Subsequently Chamber of Deputies will be provided with a comparison dedicated to the presentation of the humanitarian crisis suffered by the Yazidi community in Kurdistan, where three million are displaced. Among the other interventions including from the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Debora Serracchiani, there will also be an intervention by the Italian company for Economic Cooperation and Development (AICS) Marzio Babille and UNICEF Representative for Iraq Mary Pereira Mendes.
