(June 2, 2016) The legend Tazio Nuvolari arrives in the Czech Republic. Throughout the summer prague will host an exhibition on the legendary Italian rider exclusively showing his many faces: From the motorcyle rider Nuvolari, in the “Nuvolari: The Champion” section which presents his competitive riding career that began in the 1920s with motorcycle racing, to the Nuvolari as an amateur but talented photographer in “Tazio’s gaze” where more than 100 shots from his private life are exhibited. The exhibition ends with a number of memorabilia that are exhibited for the first time in the Czech Republic: a Bugatti T35 identical to the one driven by Nuvolari in 1927, a Norton 500 m18 a motorcycle used in the competitions of the early 1920s and the helmet and suit that the Italian champion wore in numerous competitions such as the Cup Donington won on October 22, 1938 at the English race circuit on board an Auto Union Q. As the Ambassador Aldo Amati has stressed the “Tazio Nuvolari caught the imagination of many generations not only with his fearlessness but also with his elegance and ability to offer himself to a wider audience beyond motorcycle racing. He entered the collective memory internationally playing the Italian prototype with his style and his ‘joie de vivre’ and his extraordinary abilities to defy death on the race course which certainly did not show same safety standards as today’s racetracks.” (Sis)
