Brussels – Beginning in July, Emilia Romagna will preside the Vanguard Initiative, the European network promoting pilot projects in the areas of advanced technologies in line with smart specialization strategies, particularly on sustainable manufacturing, offshore renewable energy, nanotechnology and the bio-economy. Born in 2014 at the proposal of Flanders (Belgium), it involves 30 European regions and recognize local governments the role of “engines of a new European growth”. (9Colonne)
