Rio de Janeiro – The Standard Bearer of Italy, Federica Pellegrini, has arrived in Rio de Janeiro. The Olympic champion, already in Brazil with the Italian swimming team, left Santos where the Italian team has completed the last training yesterday, and reached the Olympic venue in the early afternoon. In Rio, together with the Italian Bearer, there will be Ilaria Bianchi, Silvia Di Pietro, Erika Ferraioli, Sara Franceschi, Luca Marin, Aglaia Pezzato, Andrea Toniato, Luisa Trombetti and Federico Turrini. The other italian swimmers, however, will remain at Santos an extra day and will experience the atmosphere of the Village only as of today. (9Colonne)
