(August 8, 2016) A dance and music festival in an evocative place: ‘Naos’ is the name of the event that takes place on August 18 by Synergy of Art at the temple of Athina Afaia on the Greek island of Aigina southwest of the Acropolis of Athens. During the show, organised with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, artists Silvia Macchi, Anne Kern, Andreas Kanellopoulos, Cristina Varotsos, Filippos Koutsaftsis, Dimitris Kountas, Kleio Karambelia (Clio K.) Dimitris Pantelias, Alexandros Papanastasatos and Magdalini Papanikolopoulou will be exhibited. Synergy of Art was founded in 2001 by Silvia Macchi with the objective to research and explore human movement beyond classic and modern forms of education. All her work is based on the process of body conscience, a holistic approach to education and body awareness and the expression of the human body. Today, in a critical moment in both Greek and global history, Synergy of Art aims to recall forgotten memories that are strictly tied to values that existed in ancient civilisations. For this reason, sites of historic and archaeological importance are chosen for the presentation of theatrical and dance events.
