(15 September, 2016) In the San Marco Salon in Ottawa, a fundraising dinner “A future for Amatrice” was held in recent days for the communities that were struck by the 24 August earthquake. Over 500 participants attended the event sponsored by the Italian Embassy to Canada and organised by the National Federation of Italian-Canadians (FNIC) in collaboration with the PD (Democratic Party) association of Ottawa and the local Com.It.Es. In addition to Canadian civilian and military authorities, member of parliament Francesco Sorbara, the Italian Ambassador to Ottawa Gian Lorenzo Cornado, National Vice Secretary of the PD Canada Antonio Giannetti, President of FNIC Luciano Bentenuto and the President of Com.It.Es. Francesco Di Candia, will also be present.
