Jerusalem. Italy has approved a budget of € million for emergency activities in Palestine to support and strengthen basic services to the most vulnerable members of the population. The project is a continuation of the Italian Cooperation’s work in the emergency sector, focusing on Area C, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. In particular, measures are in place to ensure good living conditions for those displaced and refugees- including those at risk of being forcibly relocated- through the provision of emergency housing solutions, implementation of measures to battle the cold season and to improve access to drinking water, rehabilitation of roads, energy systems and the distribution of water for agricultural use.
