Sydney. Vivacissimo! comes to an end at the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney with a performance by the Duo composed of the mandolin player, Anna Schivazappa and pianist Claudio Fontana, who on December 1 at 18:00 will present a programme dedicated primarily to Raffaele Calace, composer, editor and lute player from Naples during the romantic era (1863-1934) who was compared to the Paganini era of mandolin by music critics of his time. The programme will include pieces by Vittorio Monti, Gennaro Napoli and Eduardo Mezzacapo. Vivacissimo! is a public event almost entirely organised by the ICI whose aim is to introduce emerging young musicians to already well established musicians in a repertoire that spans from Renaissance music to contemporary.
