(13 December, 2016) Music and solidarity go together. On December 13 (18:30) at the Italian Cultural Institute of Strasbourg, Artes Quartet will perform in a concert, sponsored by the ICI, for the earthquake victims in Central Italy. The Artes Quartet (Erica Droz, Valerio Mattiuzzo, Carlotta Paolacci, Irene Silano) was founded in 2016 by a group of four Italian flutists, following a course of study at the Académie Supérieure de Musique in Strasbourg with Maestro M. Caroli. The musicians are internationally trained in conservatories and universities in Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland. United by their passion for their respective instruments and chamber music, they explore and promote the traditional repertoire and original compositions for this ensemble, with a repertoire ranging from classical to modern. The programme consists of pieces by Reicha, Castérède, Berthomieu, Debussy, Bozza, Gluck, Mendelssohn. (Red)
