(December 20, 2016) Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia join the fray against new drugs on the market. The objective of the European I-SEE is: consolidation the exchange of information between Italy and South-East European neighbouring countries about New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), coordinated by a research team from the University of Florence lead by Elisabetta Bertol (Professor of Legal Medicine, Department of Health Sciences). As posted on the University’s webpage, the project was concluded and its results have been presented in a meeting with the Chancellor of the University, Luigi Dei at the Church of San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini. Bertol explains that “the main goal of this venture which has involved drug notification centres in Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia, is to strengthen the exchange of information on New Psychoactive Substances between Italy and bordering nations. In order to achieve this, local authorities, laboratory analysts, clinics and health units of NGOs have been brought on board”. (red)
