(December 20, 2016) Enthusiasts and collectors of ‘carnets de voyage’ gather at the ‘Magellan and Cie’ bookstore in the heart of Paris to meet artist and illustrator, Roberto Di Costanzo, who will distribute signed copies of his illustrated books about Paris and Rome (Editions Nomades). Di Costanza has returned to Paris after the great success of his exhibition “La belle Societé” at Galerie Valence. He states that “this country his highly cultured in design and illustration and it is always a pleasure to come back and talk about my illustrations. It is a wonderful opportunity to show Italian excellences abroad”. Di Costanzo’s ties with France formed four year ago with Editions Nomades, a valued publishing house that primarily focuses on travel literature with a sub-focus in the arts. After Di Costanzo’s first published illustrated book on Rome, he was discovered by Pierre Cardin. His works were then exhibited in his renowned Foundation. The French public’s interest in collecting drawings bodes well for Di Costanzo, for example in his most recent exhibition in December.
