Brussels – Designing and developing an integrated platform for the police forces of the European Union, supporting forensic investigations is the aim of the European Horizon 2020 Ramses project in which takes part the Milan Politecnico. The platform will focus on highly relevant and current cases of so-called ransomware (malware designed to extort money from the user, usually by encrypting data and blocking access to computers or mobile) and banking malware. Milan Politecnico participates in the RAMSES project , coordinated by the Spanish research and development company Treelogic, together with the universities of Kent, Saarland and Complutense of Madrid, the university of applied sciences of Bavaria (BayFHVR), to RISSC and Trilatera Research research centers, as well as some police forces in Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Germany and Europol.
