(January 3, 2016) As part of the International Theatre Festival for children of Neapolis, the Italian Institute of Culture in Tunis presents the show “Harlequin Hunger” by Bottega Teatrale. The shows will be held in the city of Nabeul on Sunday, January 8 at 10 at the Maison de Culture, on Monday, January 9 at 15 at the Centre Culturel Neapolis and on Tuesday, January 10 at the Salle Maamoura. The show, written and directed by Giuseppe Cardascio and starring Salvatore Varvaro and Giuseppe Cardascio, deals in a fun way with the characters of the great Italian tradition of Commedia dell’Arte. A Harlequin always hungry must deal with Pantalone, Pulcinella, Colombina, Brighella and Balanzone to fill his proverbial “pansa voda”. Surely he’ll manage to take many blows, as in the classic tradition of puppet theater. (Red)
