He is also the author of “La meglio gioventù” (The Best of Youth). The latter was an excellent example of osmosis between art films and seriality and was awarded in Cannes and with six David di Donatello awards. Giordana will present his new political crime movie to the French public: based on the true story of Lea Garofalo, a victim of the ‘ndrangheta. “Lea” starring Vanessa Scalera, Linda Caridi, Alessio Praticò, and Mauro Conte is the story of two brave women: Lea Garofalo who collaborated with the authorities and her daughter Denise who testified against her father. Denise is still alive today living under witness protection. The film came out in July in France where Giordana is very popular. (PO/red)
