Cambridge. Following remarkable success in innovative technology research in the field of Energy, the president of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Rafael Reif and the CEO of ENI, Claudio Descalzi met to consolidate their multiyear collaborative research for the next four years. The agreement will see the participation of ENI and other Low-Carbon Energy Centres promoted by the MIT Energy Initiative, of which ENI is a founding member. ENI will collaborate in the development of some key technologies to fight climate change such as solar power and Carbon Capture Use and Sequestration. Low-Carbon Energy Centres are a fundamental element for the Plan for Action on Climate Change of MIT and are perfectly integrated in ENI’s strategies towards the energetic transition and in the fight against climate change.
