(23 January 2017) The Italian Ambassador to Beirut, Massimo Marotti has inaugurated the fourth photography festival “PhotoMed Beirut 2017” (www.photomedliban.com) in front of a large and qualified public. The festival will last until February 8 and is sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute which is also the co-organising partner. This year’s edition focuses on Italian cinema of the 1960s and 1970s. The catalogue and brochures depict a famous photographic portrait of Monica Vitti. The ICI decided for a focus on Italian cinema for the European Film Festivla in Beirut taking place at the same time.
